Letter to Parents – End of Y13

I would like to start by congratulating our year 13 students on completing their A Level exams and reaching the end of Year 13.  This is a momentous occasion, completing 14 years of formal education and now looking forward, with anticipation, to what lies ahead. For this group of Y13 students, the exams have been particularly challenging; given the fact that Covid prevented them from sitting their GCSE exams, the students were entering into this period of exams with many uncertainties however, they have risen to the challenge, they have shown incredible strength and determination and we could not be more proud of them. Each of you will now take up a new path, whether that is university, college, an apprenticeship or employment – a new adventure outside of SRS awaits.  We hope that you are taking many fond memories of your time at Sydney Russell with you; you will always be a part of the fabric of our school, and I would very much like to see as many of you as possible supporting the school as Alumni in the years to come. Alumni are former students who work with us to continually further improve and develop the experience our students have at school and the opportunities we can offer them.  Through our alumni we have been able to offer work experience, visits, workshops, mentoring and exchanges.  If you would like to be a part of this group, please contact alumni@sydneyrussellschool.com My thanks to you, parents and carers, family and friends, for your unswerving support through the last seven years.  If this is your youngest child leaving SRS, then a particular thanks for the many years of working with us and supporting us to best support your child.  Please join us for school events when you can – details can always be found via our social media: @SydneyRussellSchool /  sydneyrussellschool_official Please find below an outline of key dates for what happens next: Read the full letter here:
